Description
Large, bold sans-serif lettering stretches across the top, layered in a way that draws the eye up first. The heavy fonts have carved-in negative spaces decorated with an irregular wave motif inside every letter, each wave slightly distinct as they move across. The shadowing on each letter’s right and lower edge uses a blue-gray ink, which adds visible depth and hints at the three-dimensionality of cut stone or steel.
Directly beneath, a highly stylized figure in motion powers through a rowing stroke. The athlete’s musculature is articulated in precise crosshatches, sculpting out tension across arms, shoulders and legs. Below the seat, the flywheel’s intricately drawn rings, along with swirling lines in pale cream and blue, create a sense of kinetic energy radiating outward—an effect only detailed on careful inspection.
A pair of blue wave shapes define a narrow block of smaller capital letters that echo the main theme. The final detail is a small dark shield motif with light block type set just above a single blue rule.
