Thin black serif lettering introduces ‘Andantino sognando,’ Italian for ‘gently moving, dreaming,’ while RÊVERIE, in spaced capitals, supplies the French word for daydream. Around those phrases, mp, dolce, pp, and sim remain part of the score’s notation.
Sheet Music Cross is a vertical sculptural arrangement of cream paper strips, densely filled with staves and notes. The strips turn through broad horizontal ribbons near their upper reaches before narrowing into a curl below, leaving a generous gray field around the construction. Individual fragments overlap without losing the legibility of their musical lines.
Age is worked into the paper: foxing breaks the pale surface, and deckled tears carry brown gradients that suggest singed or rolled edges. Fine metallic-gold lines wander beyond the strips in loose calligraphic loops; some tighten into small spiral tips instead of following the paper’s contours.
On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, the notation, lettering, and paper construction hold together as one image, while gold star-bursts and small dot flecks gather most noticeably near the middle and lower left. Their sparse distribution keeps the surrounding gray visibly open.
