Design story & product details
A few small outlined bubbles drift around the thin, uneven wave band, a quiet detail that keeps the broad lettering from reading as a plain title. “Shelf Break” curves in a wide arch of pale cream serif capitals, each letter ringed by dark teal and given an offset dark edge. Dense stippling gathers toward the lower portions, making the letterforms feel worked over instead of flat. On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, the lettering introduces a drawn shoreline scene with carefully varied linework.
Below the band, a right-facing fish holds a circular eye and a slightly open mouth; its forked tail and pointed fins stay crisp against the open field. Dark wavy vertical stripes cover the upper body, while fine speckling breaks up the cream belly. The rocky shelf begins at lower left and drops through steep stepped faces on a diagonal, its walls packed with close hatching. Long, loose contour lines travel through the empty right side, suggesting water or terrain without closing into a second object.
