Design story & product details
Two short coral slashes on either side of the lower line give Shoebill Bowing a quiet punctuation mark before the figures take over. Shoebill Bowing is an illustrated exchange on a Heavy Blend Unisex Pullover Hoodie, between a weathered shoebill-like bird at left and a dark-haired man folding deeply at the waist on the right. The bird’s gray-blue plumage is built from individual layered strokes, while its orange-yellow beak is worked through with dark crosshatching; its orange talons remain plainly visible against the flat gray field.
- Large Korean words in burnt-orange/coral have a thick black edge, a cream inner echo, and a small black shadow falling to the lower right; their rounded contours are not mechanically even.
- The man’s navy patterned hanbok-style jacket retains its tassel bows through the forward pose, a detail that keeps the clothing part of the exchange.
- The smaller Korean line means, “Older brother, you know Korean-style greetings are basic!”, making the bow an enacted answer to the words.
Empty gray space around the feet and above the bird’s back prevents the scene from becoming a full narrative panel. It reads as a direct greeting lesson: one participant stays upright while the other demonstrates the courtesy named by the Korean text.
