Design story & product details
A small inward spiral at the upper right finishes a broad, twisting band of charcoal, slate blue, and pale grey. The band curls over the upper row before turning back on itself. Below it, the nearly black lettering is cut with narrow blue-grey marks that resemble grooves in wood. Fine white outlines trace breaks between letters and surrounding dark shapes, keeping the packed composition legible.
South Korea Roots uses the English words South Korea in two tightly stacked rows of tall, heavy capitals. On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, jagged edges and pointed extensions break the letterforms, while bare crooked branches pull out from the S, H, and K. White openings remain inside the letters and in the spaces made by the branching forms. The arrangement stays densely packed even where the branches reach beyond its edges on either side.
- Small grey dots appear beside the words.
- A layered rootlike form sweeps beneath Korea toward the lower left.
- Its end separates into long, thin twigs.
