Design story & product details
A wide oval saucer anchors the upper-left half of the composition, carrying a cream teacup filled with dark brown tea. Blue flowers and leaves spread over both porcelain forms, while fine hatching follows their surfaces and narrow gold edging traces the rims, foot, and curled handle.
To the right, the triangular cake slice is built in three speckled golden-brown layers, each divided by a thick cream band. Pale almond-shaped pieces, edged in brown, cover its top and continue as scattered marks across the blue-floral plate. Cream blossoms and pointed blue leaves reach around the dishes, binding the two servings into one dense cluster.
Below the dishes, Tea & Cake appears in tall, narrow navy serif capitals, detailed with slim gold outlines and inset linework; its smaller ampersand is gold-toned. Fine horizontal flourishes meet a blue-and-gold leaf ornament at the middle.
