A huge riveted portal ring opens onto a grated catwalk that winds toward a banded, ringed planet, and a lone traveler with a heavy backpack is already on his way. The headline, “The Shortcut Has Its Own Moons.”, is the joke: whoever promised a quick way across never mentioned the two cratered moons along the route. On this crewneck sweatshirt, the etched cream lettering looks like the cover of an old sci-fi paperback.
