Cream letters with orange-edged shadows against steel grey make this look like an old pulp sci-fi cover. The Shortcut Has Its Own Moons, it says, while a lone traveler with a backpack walks out of a riveted portal and onto a catwalk that curves toward a huge ringed planet. It turns every detour that became an expedition into a hoodie.

I’d buy it for the small orange lamp glowing on the portal frame. Give it to the friend who always swears they know a faster way.
