Design story & product details
The dark, textured underside of the forward shoe is easy to miss beneath the cat’s rolled cuff, yet it gives the stride real direction. Things Are Lookin’ Up is a Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt whose central black-and-white cartoon cat walks between separated bands of orange, black-outlined wording: “Never You Mind + Things Are Lookin’ Up.” Its pointed ears, striped fur, long whiskers and wide eyes lead into an open grin with teeth and a white tongue.
- Dense sketchlike hatching builds shade across the cheeks, bib overalls and lace-up shoes, keeping the drawing deliberately hand-worked in feel.
- A checked shirt shows beneath the bib, with round strap fasteners, a square chest pocket and rolled cuffs clearly defined.
- At the left, a spotted bag carries pale yellow curved shapes; another bag falls behind the right hip while the striped tail curls left.
The small tilted cross-shaped mark after “Never You Mind” breaks the upper arch before the lower line curves around the figure. White space between the lettering and character preserves each contour, including the shoe pushed forward toward the viewer.
