Design story & product details
Red, cornflower blue, and mustard yellow turn through white paper gaps in a yin-yang-like spiral, held within a traditional folding fan. Dark wooden ribs run back to a pivot marked with metal rivets, while the left-hand pleats dissolve into black ink-wash smudges. On the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt, the fan is framed by a flat grey field that leaves its radiating construction clear.
Pink-orange blossoms on dark twigs reach in from the upper right and lower left, accompanied by soft grey cloud-like ink splotches. A broad black word overlaps the lower ribs with rough, semi-transparent edges; BEAUTY follows beneath in fine, spaced orange letters. Small grey text blocks balance the sides, while the bottom detail pairs ESTD and MMXXIV with a circular wave-line emblem and a narrow orange line of type.
Brushwork gives the spiral its movement, alternating dense colour with exposed paper texture instead of filling every pleat. Black wash gathers at one end of the fan, and scattered orange dots break along the swirl’s outer edge. The lettering is handled as another brush layer, its imperfect edges allowing the ribs and colour beneath to remain visible.
