Design story & product details
Rough-edged black capitals form the first layer of the composition, their semi-transparent strokes crossing the lower fan ribs, while a finer orange line of lettering runs underneath. The words are interrupted by the fan instead of being boxed off from it, allowing the dark wooden pivot and its small metal rivets to remain part of the image. On this Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt, the lettering gives the central illustration a graphic foreground without concealing its paper folds.
Behind it, red, cornflower blue, and mustard brushstrokes turn through the pleated paper in a yin-yang-like spiral, leaving uneven white channels where paper texture remains visible. Black ink wash gathers at the fan’s left edge, with small orange dots loosening the boundary near the swirl. Pink-orange blossoms on dark twigs enter from the upper right and lower left, accompanied by grey cloud-like splotches.
