Description
Bold screenprint ink creates tactile contrast where the tugboat’s red hull meets dense black hatching, almost sculpting the foam and force of heavy harbor water. On the vessel, thick black outlines mark each blocky surface and rectangular window, while small yellow details—a post, a corner of machinery—interrupt the quiet palette, drawing your eye through the busyness of crane, ropes, and deck equipment.
The artwork’s arrangement is anchored by curling yellow banners, their texture and drop shadows giving them depth. Black gothic lettering flows powerfully across the banners, reading “WORKING WITH THE WATER BUSAN,” with the city name identifying a Korean port known for maritime life. Between each word, red diamonds echo the shape of the tufted waves and the ribbon’s curl, uniting graphic and text.
