Design story & product details
A single paw draws attention first, its claws dark against the stone, resting heavily and shifting the weight along the fractured ledge. Every small mark—from the pared-back scratches on the dog’s muzzle to the fine branching veins on each ivy leaf—shows detailed work in the stone texture and the print. The dog’s closed eyes are gentled against its bent foreleg, ears arching outward with more shadow rimming the right side, while cracks and chipped edges frame the massive head and masonry.
- The phrase “ASLEEP UNTIL YOUR KEY TURNS” is set deep into the print, each carved-in serif letter casting a shadow for dimensional effect.
- Ivy vines wind through the letterforms, sometimes running in front and behind them, with pointed leaves and lightly mottled patches where vine overlaps masonry.
- The design leaves uneven gaps at the edge, following the irregular mass of the resting figure and the broken ledge, with each border slightly different from the next.
