“By Grace” is drawn in very heavy, rounded slab-serif letters, with flat ochre-brown interiors contained by thick black outlines. The first line carries a capital B that rises higher than its lowercase y, and the y’s curved tail falls toward Grace. On the Classic Dad Hat, the embroidered lettering keeps that compressed two-line arrangement intact while leaving clear space around it.
- Grace spreads into a broad upward arch, lifting its central letters while the G and e drop lower at either end.
- The oversized G has a deep open notch and a short bar turning inward, an unusually specific cut within the word.
- The a holds a small black counter; narrow white breaks remain visible inside the e, both edged by black.
The words mean exactly what they say: a brief expression of grace, without an added slogan or image to steer it elsewhere. Some neighboring outlines meet, giving the compact lettering a joined, almost locked construction. There are no illustrated forms or decorative marks beyond the two words.
