Description
Steam curls up from a faceted moka pot and a filled ceramic cup set on a round rooftop table, both objects drawn with fine, cross-hatched lines that echo the deliberate engraving style throughout the entire composition. The city skyline behind them is densely packed with rectangular towers, dotted with luminous window squares, and punctuated by a solitary water tower. Near the left edge, leafy potted plants add a touch of detail while a chair’s curved wooden back emerges on the right.
Above, ‘COFFEE’ appears in tall, arched serif capitals bordered by double lines and cross-hatching, matched by a smaller arch below reading ‘ABOVE THE CITY’, both brackets for the skyline below. Scrollwork, finials, star-topped arches, and ornate lamp posts with glowing lanterns frame the entire scene.
