Design story & product details
A circular teal checkerboard forms the field for a shaggy tan dog and an orange striped cat, their bodies pressed into the middle of the design. The dog’s rounded dark eyes, floppy ears, purple-black nose and long pink tongue give its face an expectant pull. Beside it, the cat keeps its curved eyes closed; pink inner ears, thin whiskers, a cream chest and cream paws sharpen the contrast. Two bowls ground the animals: one is mint with pink hearts around brown food, while the other is purple, edged in pink and filled with blue water. Small striped balls and a fringed toy break into the left side of the checkerboard. The cat’s striped tail makes a rightward curl near the bowls, a small line that prevents the packed grouping from becoming still.
“Feed” and “Me, Please!” are made in thick, slanted pink script, with pale highlights along the letterforms, dark purple outlines and offset shadows. A pink paw print accompanies the top word. These layers give the hand-drawn lettering a raised, poster-like edge while leaving pockets of teal checkerboard visible around the figures.
