“Mended Cuffs” — Cuffed Beanie · Embroidered
Embroidered to order.
Design story & product details
Bold stitchwork brings the phrase “MENDED CUFFS” to life, with heavy serifed letters embroidered right into the beanie’s surface. The upper word bends in an arch, its pale blue-grey letters outlined with thick black, and each letter subtly shifts in height so their outer edges dip below the midpoint. It’s a detail that shows thought in the placement and movement of the text.
Layered over this arched word, a wide purple ribbon glides from left to right, twisting as it goes. Its path is crafted so that it appears to weave in and out of the letters, sometimes front and other times behind the strokes, producing an overlapping depth uncommon on hats. Only by inspecting that tight weave do you notice where the ribbon pauses—right at the end—where two narrow strands stream down from the arch and attach to a pair of mitten shapes.
The mittens themselves are simple but lively, drawn with rounded bottoms, pronounced thumbs that point toward each other, and a few black crease lines. Hung almost like charms, they echo the gesture of mended cuffs and bring a clever literal touch to the design. The gap between the arched “MENDED” and the horizontal “CUFFS” below is pronounced in the stitching, making the words and graphics read with real clarity at a glance.
This artwork was embroidered especially for the cuffed beanie, using its curved panel as a surface for the arched text. Anyone who spots the playful mittens and ribbon motif will understand how a simple phrase can be turned into a vivid textile illustration. Suitable as a gift or easy option for colder days, especially for someone who notices details.
