Design story & product details
Orange and teal create a fresh palette, with the beach umbrella’s warm canopy and the cool depth of its underside setting the scene. The artwork covers the upper side with palm fronds crowding the edge, while the figure below is drawn breezily but in detail: sunglasses, a straw-coloured hat with a narrow teal band, and a cream shirt busy with dark teal leaves. Striped teal shorts repeat the cool theme. A turquoise drink with a round citrus slice in one hand brings another note of summer, and the cropped arm at the right, gripping a slanted cream and turquoise board, adds movement and contrasts the latitude of the umbrella. Four dark fittings, connected by crossed lines, punctuate the board and hint at aquatic gear.
