Design story & product details
The print breaks the tall headline letters through their middles, giving the arched words a split appearance on the Men’s Oversized Heavyweight Crewneck T-Shirt. Navy fills most of the lettering, with several letters picked out in brick red against grey. The two-line phrase, I know every boat by sound, leads into a view straight down over a small boat and its outboard motor. A white foaming wake fans downward from the boat, spreading through the blue water and filling much of the artwork with churned texture.
The dock details make the scene specific. Two large rusted mooring loops are bolted to weathered grey planks, with barnacle clusters around them, while a wooden ladder descends through the middle into the water. A coiled rope and buoys give the little boat its working context. The dense blue and white marks continue through the wake, but the grey corners remain empty, leaving a pause around the busy water. At the bottom, Maine Coast appears in navy capitals with a serif-like character on a cream band.
