Design story & product details
Fine ink lines keep the drawing open on the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt: the child’s white face and small body are held by narrow black contours, leaving the lower half deliberately spare. A bright red violin provides the concentrated color, while its black fingerboard, curved sound holes, fine strings and round pegs give the small instrument a surprisingly worked-through structure.
The child plays with eyes closed, marked by short black lashes beneath curved brows and a tiny nose dash. Swept black hair is interrupted by many thin white arcs; a few loose black strands escape its outline. One curled hand holds the violin neck as the other takes a narrow brown bow on a diagonal, finished with a red tip. Beneath the white feet, Melodies of Peace is written in right-slanting connected script. Its long loops and shifts from heavy to fine strokes turn the title into part of the drawing.
