Design story & product details
Pale ash against near-black is the whole palette here: every lit face of the concrete is almost white, and every side turning away from the light drops into deep shadow. Three stacked words, No Way Home with a square full stop, are built as tall condensed capitals cast in thick blocks and seen from below and to the left, so the letters lean up and away like the corner of a building. No and Way stand at the upper left, and Home lands lower right at a larger size.
Between the words runs a staircase that could never be built. One flight climbs from the lower left to a slab landing, another comes down from the upper right, and heavy beams join them into a triangular loop with an open gap in the middle. On a hoodie the grey structure reads as one chunk of architecture, and the joke arrives slowly: the stairs keep going and never get anywhere.
- A hairline crack runs out from the crossbar of the H in Home.
- Small tie-holes dot the beams and letter faces, and the surface is pitted and streaked the way poured concrete weathers.
- It suits anyone fond of brutalist buildings, Escher-style puzzles or a dry line for the late walk back.
