Description
The orange drop-shadow beneath the bold bubble lettering catches your attention first, but it’s the book resting on the wooden shelf that draws you in. Next to the open cream-white pages lies a small brass key, intentionally placed, its detail easily missed if you aren’t looking for it. The graffiti text arches above in thick black outlines, curving and overlapping across lines. Everything sits against a green brick-textured wall, with a dark green painted door frame nearby and an industrial window showing the partial view of a bicycle wheel and a trash bin outside—hints of city life and the practicalities of back rooms.
Tucked at the bottom, a short phrase in dark navy block letters, flanked by thin orange lines, quietly announces “NEW YORK / BACK ROOM READING SOCIETY / 2026.” On this 11oz ceramic mug, the setting is more than just decor; it feels like the corner of a neighborhood hideaway for anyone chasing quiet moments between errands. It makes a fitting gift or daily piece for someone who enjoys small discoveries and appreciates the energy of city routines.
