Design story & product details
Two tiny folding fans bookend the torn lower ribbon, a modest detail against the denser ring of knots, scrollwork, and blossoms. Resonance of Arirang gives the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt a circular vintage badge in muted grey, tan, and dark charcoal-blue, worn through with cracks and abrasion. At its core, two gayageum cross in an X, with their parallel strings and individual bridge marks still legible between curling tendrils. Paper scrolls at both upper corners carry hand-drawn notation staffs, extending the musical thread beyond the instruments.
The lettering moves from FREE SPIRIT in the cream arch to THE RESONANCE OF ARIRANG and the slanted THE SOUL REBELLION OF, before resolving in THE SOUL OF KOREA. KOREA CLASSICS remains inside the distressed bottom ribbon, while a small yin-yang sign holds one of the open edge spaces. Arirang is Korean; it has no single direct English translation, though the familiar refrain is commonly connected with longing and parting. The wording and musical imagery place the badge in a Korean classical tradition without smoothing away its deliberately weathered finish.
