Design story & product details
Several small oval marks break away from the ground strokes beneath Solitary Bloom, a graphic for the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt built around a black tree and a lone human silhouette. The tree rises beside the figure, its canopy gathered into a near-circular dark mass with a white rim that breaks into dense stippling.
The smaller silhouette is easy to miss in the tree’s scale. It faces right with its head lowered beneath a rounded hair outline, while a long, straight-sided coat falls to two short exposed legs. Fine pale edging traces both the person and the trunk. The trunk is narrow through its height, then opens outward where it meets the broken horizontal ground.
White linework changes the canopy from a solid block into an interior of uneven enclosed forms. Slender branches climb through its lower section and join the dark trunk, while scattered dots and small rings interrupt the spaces between contours. The rim remains rough and densely speckled, and the broken ground is answered by detached oval marks below it. These restrained contrasts give the black-and-white drawing its deliberate, hand-worked structure.
