Description
The flat grey base of the artwork interacts with deep teal and scattered white from the cresting waves, creating a sharp contrast that defines the composition. The upper third carries a surge of splash-patterned wave forms, each one picked out in teal and white, speckled with tiny dots to mimic froth. Large cream letters with orange-edged interiors stretch across this movement—each character thick and boxy, with a heavy black drop shadow jutting off to one side. The phrase STONE TO STONE fills the space, and every letter is broken by lines that echo the surface of cracked rock.
- A single black gull, wings extended wide, drifts through the center, and its placement perfectly splits the dynamic of water above and rugged ground below.
- Beneath the bird, the rock formations are closely cross-hatched in matte black, foam breaking sharply at their base, with a subdued grey landform and a slip of teal sea marking the horizon to the right.
- At the very bottom, another band of the title is gently arched, while a small badge spells out JEJU, framed by thin lines and a simple mountain outline beside it.
The only words on the garment are in English, including the place name Jeju. Unused space at the top corners and side margins brings balance to the concentrated shapes. This unisex longsleeve t-shirt captures a moment of motion and stillness where water, stone, and sky meet.
