Design story & product details
A black-and-white portrait gives Stop The War its dominant image. The long-haired, bearded face tilts upward, its eyes directed overhead and its lips slightly parted. Heavy black passages build the hair, beard, neck and shoulders, while white lettering cuts through a dense dark mass. On the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt, the image and its message are held in stark contrast.
Behind the head, long pointed, shaft-like forms extend into a field of rough rectangular marks, scratches and scattered ink speckles. The upper edges retain narrow white breaks between those radiating shapes, a small relief against the packed lower field. That uneven spacing keeps the burst from becoming a flat backdrop.
Thin white curves trace select strands through the black hair and beard. Dotted halftone patches and jagged white cuts shape the cheeks, forehead and nose, giving the face a worked, cut-ink surface. The lettering is not cleanly uniform: Stop and War are large, heavy forms with rounded corners and black distressed patches within their white fills, while The appears smaller and narrower beside them.
