Open upper margins let a few detached pink petals drift clear of the flowers below. A right-facing woman, her dark shoulder-length hair loosened into uneven strands touched with rust orange, is held inside a dense border of flowering stems. On a Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, Wildflower Pause follows the angular pale turquoise marks and fine dark creases of her cream shirt down to orange shorts, where deep brown folds are picked out with narrow cream highlights. One bent arm ends in a hand slipped into her pocket.
Flowers gather in cream, pink, coral and dark red, their radiating petals circling yellow or nearly black centres. Oversized brush lettering cuts through the stems and legs in near-black, with broad cream edges, orange offset marks, and long curved orange flourishes below. The words are Korean and mean You worked hard today, giving the figure’s pause a direct acknowledgement.
