Description
An illustrated homage to the famed Korean naval commander, this artwork sets Yi Sun-Sin in profile within a rugged circular rope frame. His ornate helmet with dragon engravings and scaled armor punctuate the central focus, with the cracked 3D-style ‘Yi Sun-Sin’ title rendered above him in bold cream text shadowed in deep navy. Each letter carries a weathered texture that seems to echo the enduring reputation of the admiral.
Beneath the portrait, a serried turtle ship glides through stylized navy and white waves, its dragon-headed prow leading rows of masts and a riveted hull. Just above, a quietly drawn strip of rocky coastline drifts into the design’s upper right, bordering rather than crowding the composition. A careful observer may note how the horizontal ‘ADMIRAL’ lettering, set in serif with small flanking dashes, acts as an understated balance between the text and illustration.
