Design story & product details
Black brush lettering gives the artwork its force, with broad Korean characters formed in dense, expressive strokes that narrow into tapered ends. The Korean words mean “Dokdo is our pride,” and their dry-brush edges leave an uneven, inked finish. On the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt, that declaration remains the central visual voice.
A rough gold-tan underlayer breaks through the black forms, appearing in worn patches around their contours. Small splatter dots drift out at either side of the lettering, while a smaller line of black brush script stretches in a fine, pointed rhythm. The open grey field between the two illustrated masses keeps those sharp tails and flecks from becoming decoration alone.
Below, a brown rocky island cluster rises from near-black teal water, its white foam cut into short, bright strokes. A flat gold disc is partly veiled by outlined clouds, leaving part of its edge obscured. Three gulls cross the grey in a diagonal, black along their backs and white beneath the wings. The mark is made by letting blunt brush bodies, frayed edges, and crisp illustrated lines share one restrained palette.
