Design story & product details
White gaps hold the outer tools apart from the dense central sign, giving the razor, clipper, shaving brush, scissors and small rectangular comb room around the main arrangement. The artwork on the heavyweight unisex crewneck T-shirt draws its wording from a barbershop board: Barbershop, followed by Shaving • Haircuts in smaller capitals along a curved black strip. Cream serif letters fill the broad black arch, while worn speckling and scratches break through the ink across the type and surrounding shapes.
- A black, grey and cream barber chair anchors the composition, with a rectangular headrest, diamond-buttoned back, padded arms, broad seat and rectangular footrest.
- Two upright poles frame the chair, each capped with rounded ends and wrapped in muted blue, pink and cream diagonal bands within dark outlines.
- Dusty pink rays fan out through the white gaps behind the chair, ending against ribbon tails and the dark oval beneath the circular pedestal.
The chair is not simplified into a symbol: its buttoned back and separate pedestal base give the illustration the detail of old barbershop signage. The distressed treatment reaches the rays, tools and lettering alike, keeping the layered centre visibly weathered.
