Design story & product details
Blue ink turns Cocoon Of Life into a butterfly-person emblem, with a front-facing elderly man held within an open arrangement of wings. On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, the dark-blue lines retain the drawing’s dense, sign-like character: thick wing borders, dividing bars and circular marks create structure while white panels leave breathing room around the lower body. The arching sentence, “Age is just another phase in the cocoon of life.”, names age as one stage within a larger cycle.
- Four wing sections extend behind the figure, with long upper wings angling outward and upward and smaller lower wings ending in scalloped edges.
- White dots punctuate the outer blue margins, while blue ovals and circular spots break up the enclosed white panels.
- Faint pale-grey shapes pass through several wing sections and across the head, softening the lined forehead beneath the glasses.
Two thin blue antennae rise from the head beneath the broad lettering arch. Broad white intervals between the words and antennae, and alongside the legs, keep the crowded facial and wing detail legible without reducing the figure to a simple butterfly.
