Design story & product details
A small compass-star with crosslines closes the composition at the bottom, echoing the larger emblem beneath the tower. Deep Current Research is an illustrated ocean-survey graphic for a Heavy Blend Unisex Pullover Hoodie, built around a submarine-like periscope tower, its seams marked in rivets and its dial drawn as a crosshair with radiating ticks. Two wave-filled crescents flare behind the structure, leaving a noticeably calmer field in the upper middle.
- The sides churn with stylized waves, white foam crests, jagged dark rocks, fine seaweed fronds, and scattered bubbles in several sizes near the edges.
- Navy, steel blue, cream, and black outlines are held to a grainy halftone treatment, giving the water and metal the same worn visual texture.
- The lettering reads Deep Current Research: tall, blackletter-inspired capitals follow a wavy baseline, while smaller spaced serif capitals below are bracketed by dots and thin rules.
The lower half grows dense with wave and rock detail, so the open water around the tower has room to register. The paired compass marks turn the navigation motif into a repeated detail, not an added slogan.
