Design story & product details
Navy and steel blue carry the depth of the illustration, while cream foam and lettering cut through the black-edged forms. On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, Deep Current Research builds an underwater scene around a riveted submarine or periscope tower, its crosshair radar dial marked by fine radiating ticks. Two broad crescents sweep out behind the structure, their interiors broken into wave-pattern bands. The open space around the tower lets its mechanical seams and circular dial read clearly before the composition falls into rougher water.
Below, turbulent waves surge between dark jagged rocks, and thin seaweed fronds thread through the gaps. Bubbles of uneven size punctuate the surrounding field. “DEEP CURRENT” appears in tall, jagged blackletter-inspired capitals with pale interiors and dark edging, following a wavy baseline. Smaller spaced serif capitals spell “RESEARCH” between dots and fine horizontal rules. A compass/star emblem anchors the lower detail, echoed by the tiny crosslined compass-star at the base.
