A rooftop water tank, a fire escape down a tower wall and a few warm yellow windows are what the man in the glass elevator has stopped to watch. He stands with his hands in his jacket pockets and rides on past his own stop. The big cream letters admit it: I ride past my floor for this view.
On this oversized tee the joke is gentle, and anyone who has done it will know it’s true. It suits a city commuter who takes the long way home on purpose.
