"Next Time, Hire Movers" Heavy Blend Unisex Pullover Hoodie

Two small rivets hold a rusted handle to a block of concrete, and that is the whole joke of the artwork on this pullover hoodie: someone has drawn a suitcase out of poured stone. The handle is copper-brown with flecks of blue-green patina, bent into a squared arch and bolted through two grey metal loops. Under it, the slab is turned three-quarters on, heavy and chipped, with a row of thinner slabs fanning out behind the front face like the ribs of a radiator.

Below the case, four broken blocks step down toward the lower right, each one pitted with small holes and crumbling at the edges. They read as a staircase, the kind you meet on the fourth trip up with a box of books, and they give the suitcase somewhere to be carried. The front slab is stepped too, so the smaller top line rests on a raised ledge of its own.

The words are “Next time,” in a short upper line and “Hire movers” beneath it in very tall, condensed serif capitals. The letters are cream with hard black shadows, which makes them look cut into the stone, and they slope down to the right along the slab’s perspective. The last S finishes in a sharp pointed tail. Grey, cream, black and rust are the only colours used. It suits anyone who has just moved flats, or the friend who showed up to help and deserves a thank-you.
