Design story & product details
The dark-brown blackletter of MAJESTIC BATTLESHIP is built with thick angular strokes, narrow cuts of grey between its forms, and a generous run of curling flourishes. Heavy ornamental serifs lend the words a formal, engraved character. Its swashes extend from the lettering without filling the flat grey field, leaving an unusual amount of air around the two-line title.
On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, the lettering introduces a sailing ship drawn with a level of detail that changes from yard to yard. White-grey sails gather across seven horizontal spars; ropes cross densely through the mast while a fine pink-magenta pennant marks its highest point.
The dark navy-black hull carries elaborate gold scrollwork and filigree, with a carved gold figurehead projecting at the bow. Those ornamental lines are especially dense against the broad, dark body of the ship.
Jagged grey-white foam closes the image at the bottom edge, giving the ship a rough waterline without changing the plain grey background. The composition holds its detail in sails, rigging, and hull decoration, while the far sides stay clear.
