Design story & product details
Blue-grey ribs cut through the dark roof planes, while pale grey ridgelines and green eaves give the two stacked roofs their measured outline. Their upward-curving corners mirror one another, with tiny gold rectangles punctuating the eaves.
On the Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt, Palace Gate is built as a formal frontal gate: red posts and rails separate olive-green panels beneath the roofs. The lower wall opens into three tall rounded arches, where overlapping brown and ochre forms contrast with the broad cream and pale-yellow fields.
A cream plaque at the upper level carries 光化門 in dark brush-like marks. The lettering is Korean Hanja for Gwanghwamun, meaning “Gate of Enlightenment”; below it, a band of square grey-brown panels repeats cream circles, and small gold marks appear near the central wall’s upper corners.
Low side walls continue beneath dark blue tiled caps. The long rounded ochre base is not flat: darker bands layered beneath it give the gate a grounded finish.
