Design story & product details
Two overlapping pink hibiscus blossoms form the largest element: a smaller bloom recedes at upper left while the front flower opens farther right and downward. Broad, softly rippled petals carry pale salmon-pink rims, fine radiating veins and scattered dark red speckles. Deep burgundy centres break into pointed magenta streaks, while yellow-tipped stamens gather around pale central stalks. On the Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt, very faint grey rays extend from behind the flowers and dissolve into the otherwise open space.
- The word Hibiscus appears in tightly packed, heavy angular blackletter.
- White and grey interior faces meet thick black edges and offset shadows, giving each letter a bevelled depth.
- Pointed terminals, curled strokes and small diamond-shaped details sharpen the lettering below a narrow open gap.
Mugunghwa is the Korean word for hibiscus, often called Rose of Sharon in English, and the artwork repeats the romanisation in capitals. Its text also calls it the Korean natioal Flower—the visible misspelling remains part of the lettering—and continues with a verse about light, storms, hope and endurance.
