Heavy, flared cream letters with a cracked, worn fill arch up through an orange ash cloud to ask, Sorry, were you talking? Smaller capitals give the excuse: that mountain just erupted. Below, two hikers on boulders watch lava rivers spill across the valley, one still mid-sentence with an open hand, on a hoodie built around a very good reason to stop listening.
The dense etched hatching reads like an old engraving, with orange glowing through the grey. Give it to the hiking buddy who goes quiet at every summit view.
