Design story & product details
Black fill and open white space give Thorny Rose Study its sharp contrast. The artwork is a black-and-white rose, built with a broad bloom and a long thorned stem that narrows below it. Its petals coil tightly into a small spiral centre; solid black folds meet white petal faces edged in fine, short hatching. Pointed sepals flare beneath the bloom, making the flower feel constructed from cut ink shapes as much as soft petals.
On the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt, the rose is joined by seven serrated leaves on branching stems. Pale central veins and white cuts move through the dense black leaves, with the left branch opening wider while the right group remains compact. Thin cursive writing follows the right side in slanted strokes that shift from hairline marks to looping flourishes. It reads “Homme Seoul”: homme is French for “man,” while Seoul names the Korean capital. Crowded marks in the flower and foliage give way to broad white intervals around the lower stem and between the rose and lettering.
