Design story & product details
Window bends into a strong upward arch, its heavy italic capitals filled with white and worked through with black inner shading. Seat follows beneath, with a full stop that gives the phrase a definite ending. Thin black outlines hold the letters together while red shadows fall down and to the left. On the Men’s Oversized Heavyweight Crewneck T-Shirt, that large lettering introduces a reclining seat drawn with the small, practical details of somewhere a passenger would actually settle.
The padded headrest and armrest are easy to recognise, but the buckled lap belt makes the scene especially particular. Behind the seat, a circular porthole has a riveted rim and opens onto a cloud-streaked planet. Stippling and halftone dots build the black, grey and white illustration, gathering densely around the seat and window. The flat grey ground stays largely empty at the corners and midway along the left edge, giving the crowded drawing room around its edges. Even in space completes the thought in a lower band of slanted lettering.
