Design story & product details
White space cuts wide channels through a weathered seascape, allowing the fractured lettering, sails, and water to read as separate moving parts. “Chasing Horizons” gives the artwork its only wording: Chasing arrives in heavy navy capitals, its rough edges and white fissures interrupting the fill, while the coral-red Horizons uses a narrower serif line. On the crewneck T-shirt, a sailboat crosses the lower word with a mast that rises into the title.
The boat is not reduced to a simple silhouette. Fine curved seams mark the two cream sails, each bounded in dark line, and the pale teal hull has a navy underside. A tiny dark figure is drawn at the hull’s right end. Behind it, diagonal rays in orange, coral, cream, and pale teal break apart against broad white intervals. The water becomes densest at the bottom, where navy and teal curls meet cream foam; thin gold strokes thread through the waves. Scratches, speckles, and branching cracks continue from the lettering into the illustration, tying its worn surface together.
