Design story & product details
Space remains open at the lower left and right, where only fine gold curls reach out from the lettering. Between them, Hibiscus is drawn in a narrow blackletter hand: tall cream forms edged in tan-gold, deepened by heavy black shadows, and cut with diamond serifs and pointed arches. The pale letter faces are not perfectly flat; grey stippling and minute speckles give them a lightly weathered surface.
On the crewneck T-shirt, Hibiscus Gothic Lettering forms a crowded horizontal field, with ornament compressed through its upper area while the lower space is allowed to remain spare. Hibiscus is the only wording. Its blackletter construction gives each character a hard, architectural rhythm, while the surrounding marks continue that geometry in more delicate lines. No secondary phrase interrupts the composition.
- The H releases an ornate loop that curls upward from its upper stroke.
- A six-point gold-and-cream burst, the largest in the design, spans the area over the i and s.
- Fine gold scrollwork leaves the lower centre and corners, curling into the otherwise plain grey field.
