Design story & product details
Pale ochre lettering meets orange, gold, cream and black in One Giant Leap, where tall heavy letters carry fine dark inset lines and scattered scratches beneath their thick black borders. On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, the words form a firm header for a lunar lander built from a rounded upper housing and an unusually dense run of pipes, cylinders, panels and diagonal braces. Its orange legs spread wide toward flattened oval footpads, leaving sharp triangular windows of open space between them.
A central downward nozzle hangs over a small astronaut seen from behind, whose cream suit is worked with dark hatched folds and a tall rectangular backpack. One easily missed mark is the tiny red-striped flag on a cream panel near the machinery. Tan ground and irregular rocks, shaded heavily in black, crowd the lower edge, while broad unfilled areas around the upper mechanism keep the intricate lander from becoming a solid block.
