Design story & product details
Navy lettering against grey meets a thick white outline and teal shadow, giving the large graffiti-style words Ride The Wave a layered edge. Drips descend from their lower edges, while the small script word the slips between the two larger words. Beneath it, Surfing the Asphalt Ocean changes from teal to cream in a looping cursive hand; its underline swash is partly covered by the rider and motorcycle. The grey field leaves breathing room around the figure’s lower legs, even as the lettering crowds the top.
On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, the artwork turns its central figure away from the viewer: a young man with black short hair and tattoos on both arms balances on a cream-and-black cafe racer as though he were surfing it. His cream shirt carries splattered marks, and his cream jeans are rolled at the ankle above white sneakers. The motorcycle’s round headlight, chrome engine, spoked wheels and lowered kickstand are each drawn with close mechanical attention; the cream tank has a distressed surface. Journey of the Alone closes the composition in white block letters edged in black.
