Design story & product details
A flat gray ground leaves open space around a vintage travel-poster scene built for the road. A cream-and-teal Route 66 shield rises from its wooden post beside a yellow bulb arrow and the red Motel and teal Vacancy signs. Palms spread through the upper field, while an orange sun falls behind the coastal cliff road and its small silhouetted birds. The oversized cream WANDERER lettering closes the composition with dark teal and gold edging.
Route 66 Wanderer is rendered on the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt with a woman leaning from a turquoise vintage convertible. Her wide cream sun hat has a red-striped band, matched by cat-eye sunglasses, teal drop earrings, a beaded bracelet and a ring. One arm rests over the door; below it, the chrome headlight and grille give the car a distinctly illustrated front end. Brown arrows point to Beach, Ocean Drive and Good Vibes, while the license plate reads 19 AFY 67.
The mark uses flat poster colour, dark contour lines and layered sign forms to give the road scene its period character. Cream letter faces are shaped into dimensional blocks, with curling scrollwork drawn underneath. Red hibiscus flowers and green fronds frame the lower corners, and a ribbon divides Live to Drive from Drive to Live with black stars on either side.
