Design story & product details
The largely open upper corners give Spirit of the West a field around its dense central scene. On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, a rearing horse and rider rise from a tight frame of rocky slopes, leaving the action to gather low and inward.
One boot is caught in a stirrup beneath the rider’s vest and long sleeves, while his broad-brimmed hat cuts a clear profile against the pale gaps in the mountains. A long gun reaches over his right shoulder, and a second dark gun-shaped form runs beside the hand. At the base, the wording reads “Spirit OF THE WEST”; it is English lettering, with Spirit in broad script and the remaining words in angular capitals.
The mark is built from black masses, gray fills, and fine scratchlike lines that roughen the horse, saddle, clothing, and rock. White channels break apart the jagged slopes behind them. The horse’s raised forelegs angle left while its tail curves down the other side. Dark blue script carries a thick white outline and a descending flourish that falls below the illustrated rectangle.
