"Tennis Rackets and Mandarin Peel" Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt

Everything here is drawn the way an old engraving is drawn: fine hatching, stippled shading and a palette held to green-black, cream and orange. Two tennis rackets lean into each other so their heads overlap and their handles splay apart, and on this crewneck sweatshirt the pair makes a wide upside-down V. The frames are dark with a thin cream line running along them, the strings are a cream grid, and each string throws a small dark shadow that makes the heads look slightly lifted. The grips are wrapped in cream tape, banded on the diagonal and speckled as if they have been held through a few sets.

The fruit is where the colour goes. A half-peeled mandarin rests on the left racket, its pale segments webbed with white pith and cupped by bright rind that shows a cream inner layer.
