Design story & product details
Mustard and navy do most of the work here, with cream as the go-between. Two wooden tennis rackets lean in from either side, their frames mustard and cream, hatched in navy and scuffed where the varnish has worn through. The left one is seen almost flat on, with a navy grip wrap at its throat; the right is turned steeply, so its head narrows to a slim oval. Between them a navy net of knotted square mesh takes a mustard ball just under the tape, and the cream band buckles into a shallow V around it.
The lettering is heavy blackletter in navy with a thin cream outline and a speckled, worn fill. The top line, Replay it., arches upward and throws a curled swash off its first letter. Below the rackets, Skip the speech. bends the other way in a slightly slanted hand, so the two lines close around the net like brackets. On this crewneck sweatshirt the drawing reads as a net cord argument settled the short way: play the point again and say less.
- The mesh stretches and sags only around the ball, while the rest of the net hangs in even squares.
- Each knot in the net is drawn as a small crossed tie, and the ball carries a single cream seam with stippled shading on its lower side.
- It suits a club player who would sooner replay a point than argue it, and it makes an easy gift for a doubles partner.
