Description
Bold, serif capital letters spell out the words ‘Cross’ and ‘Sea.’ The word ‘Cross’ rises in an upward arc, with the R and O slightly larger than the curved S at each edge. In a heavier, block-like line below, ‘Sea’ is set straight and evenly—its letters drawn almost shoulder-to-shoulder, their interval minimal but deliberate.
Directly beneath the text, two narrow, wave-like ribbons interlace in a simple, white, horizontal figure-eight. The wave mark is small, and all its curves are subtle. It anchors the design, while most of the surface remains flat gray.
The density of the letters fills the top two thirds, leaving the lower section almost blank by comparison. This subtle contrast draws attention up, but returns quietly to the single white motif that interrupts the gray below.
Reproduced in embroidery on a classic dad hat, the forms have a slight structure as the threads follow their outlines. The composition feels as if it’s always leaning forward and upward, resolved by the looping shape at the bottom.
